aka cross-eyed sewing, aka stitch-in-the-ditch.
I'm glad to have this finished; although it looked like a fun and simple project in the magazine, it took more time than I thought it would. Before I started I thought I'd make two of these (gifts), but now I'm not so sure. And if I do another one I might not add the holly leaves and berries--not sure I like the additional (puffy)dimension.
All the quilting on this is stitch-in-the-ditch with three different colors of thread (and a black in the bobbin for the black backing).
I call this hanging piece "Carrot-nose snowman" for my 2-year-old grandson.
