Not so scary after all

Well, I saw a pattern in a patchwork book that would use a jelly roll I had on hand. However, the block looked a little intimidating as there is, as I call it, an inset seam. But now that I Google it, I'm not sure that's what it is (maybe someone out there can tell me).

Anyway, it worked out a lot better than I anticipated. A bit of a treat for me.

I'm still working on these 14" blocks. I hope to have a finished quilt in the next few weeks.
